What is a short-term fix for a damaged PC-COM cable connector?
Note: These instructions also work for the SuperSting™ battery, firmware, and office power supply cable.
The PC-Com cable, SuperSting™ battery cable with clip, firmware cable, and office power supply cable use our mil-spec round connector. Unlike the electrode/extension cables, which use plastic rings—these connectors use metallic rings.
See this article to learn how to connect/disconnect these cables properly.
Some signs that your cable is damaged:
- You see visible damage
- Sometimes, your connection is intermittent
- You're receiving a Transmitter Offline error
Short-Term fix:
You can attach the connector to the SuperSting, which holds the pins stable, and then you can turn the backshell clockwise until it is hand-tight with two fingers/snug (turning to the right).
This connector needs to be properly repaired or replaced if it is loose. Please contact AGI.
