Can I use any known borehole information for 1D inversion in EarthImager™ 1D?

Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Yes. You may construct a starting model manually based on any a-priori information at the survey site. During inversion, you can constrain constant layer resistivity.

Note: Fixing a-prior values is problematic in many cases because the in-situ resistivity values and the coupling between each layer is difficult to estimate based on borehole information due to formation damage during coring, moisture content changes and lateral variations beyond the borehole.
